Preventative Maintenance
Modern cars can last for hundreds of thousands of miles, provided they receive proper care and maintenance. Certain parts are designed to fail so that more critical (and more expensive) parts remain unaffected. Proper maintenance is the repair and replacement of these intended-to-fail parts.
Your vehicle should have a manufacturer-recommended maintanance schedule indicated in the Owner's Manual. However, regular check-ups are also necessary to confirm that certain parts have not failed before their expected fail date.
